Job summary

RK&K in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Right of Way Specialist to support the Utilities/Real Estate Group. Responsibilities include negotiations, acquisitions assistance for utility projects, and compliance with real estate laws.

The role involves preparing deeds and easements, conducting property settlements, and testifying in condemnation cases. Strong communication and MS Office skills required, with experience in title reviews and market analysis being a plus.

Qualifications

Two years of experience with a condemning authority providing acquisition, relocation assistance or property asset management services.
Experience negotiating for the acquisition or sale of real estate.
Knowledge of Federal, State and local real estate laws, standards and guidelines such as the Uniform Relocation and Real Property Acts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Provide real estate support for acquisitions.
Negotiate acquisitions/divestures on utility projects.
Comply with Federal, State and Local real estate laws.
Prepare deeds, easements, options, condemnation packages and agreements as necessary.
Conduct property settlements.
Testify as needed in condemnation cases.
Attend project meetings and provide updates and minutes.
Prepare Comparable Market Analysis reports and just compensation letters.
Appraisal reviews.
Research county land records and review title commitments.
