Right of Way Agent – Part/Full Time

ProSource Land Services is seeking a Right of Way Agent in the Houston area. This on‑site role requires the agent to acquire property rights for construction, operation and maintenance of projects.

Job Summary

The Right of Way Agent is responsible for acquiring property rights to construct, operate, and maintain the specific project. The agent will assist in landowner and permit agency negotiations for the acquisition of real estate right‑of‑way.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Negotiate property agreements and secure legal permissions for land usage.
• Draft documentation and contracts for property rights acquisition.
• Mediating and negotiating agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Cold‑call and meet with landowners to obtain right‑of‑way access.
• Consult with landowners and resolve concerns or disputes related to property acquisition.
• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers and other team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Right of Way Agent, Real Estate Agent, or similar role.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex data, including legal descriptions, appraisals, surveys and engineering maps/drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Positive can‑do attitude and willingness to collaborate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires substantial fieldwork, computer use and occasional travel to client locations. Agents may sit or stand for extended periods and may perform light lifting.
