Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in utility engineering and construction, is hiring Right of Way Agents for our Hampton, VA operation. You will manage land rights, negotiate easements, and support project needs with accuracy and integrity.

Expect 30–40% travel, field work, and collaboration with internal teams, municipalities, and landowners. A four-year degree or equivalent ROW experience is required; competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or ROW experience
• Knowledge of right of way, project management, title, permitting, budgeting, due diligence, public relations, and community outreach
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to Company

Responsibilities

• Identify land/property ownership from public records
• Research, review, and analyze titles; identify defects and outline curative
• Negotiate the acquisition of right of way and property rights for construction/maintenance
• Negotiate property damage settlements and loss claims related to projects
• Prepare right of way cost estimates for land/project acquisition
• Secure civil permits for construction and maintenance
• Review, interpret, and manage land/ROW agreements, deeds, easements, leases, licenses
• Coordinate with internal departments, customers, cities/counties on ROW activities
• Manage encroachments, landowner inquiries and cost minimization for the client
• Travel 30 to 40% and perform extensive field work
