Job summary

The Clearwing Group seeks a Rigging Design Engineer to support Operations and Installation teams by drafting floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and details for mounted and rigged equipment. You will convert measurements into 3D models and assist with pre-sales and shop drawings in Revit.

Requirements include 5 years in design/installation of rigging systems, strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of performance rigging and scenic systems with 5 years of design, installation, or related experience.
High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with SketchUp.
Strong construction documentation skills and ability to read consultant specs.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; team-oriented mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication; adept with smartphone-based collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Draft equipment floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and details for mounted and rigged equipment.
Convert measurements and 2D drawings into 3D models and support pre-sales and engineering phases in Revit.
Develop bills of materials and hardware schedules for rigging systems.
Collaborate with AV and lighting engineers on construction drawings for interdisciplinary projects.
Review packages and BOMs for completeness; issue change orders as needed.
Respond to technical questions during installation and update installation documentation.
