Job summary

Upstage Crew Services in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking part-time Seasonal Riggers to support events in the Salt Lake City area. Roles include Down-Riggers, Up Riggers, ETCP Certified Riggers, and Climbers/Scaffolders.

Responsibilities include assembling gear, rigging overhead structures, and dismantling after shows. Candidates must meet safety standards, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate in English. ETCP experience is valued, with on-site work and varied schedules.

Qualifications

• Dismantle rigging after the job is completed.
• Report to the Upstage Supervisor or Labor Coordinator.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Work safely and look out for teammates, complying with safety regulations.

Job Description: Rigger

Upstage Crew Services is actively hiring part-time Riggers to work in the Salt lake City, Utah market. Including ETCP Rigger, Up Rigger, Down Rigger, and Climber/Scaffers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Down-Riggers work on the floor, assembling gear and then sending it up to the up-riggers on ropes.
• ETCP Certified Riggers focus on rigging that employs chain hoists and truss systems to temporarily suspend objects from overhead structures in any environment. ETCP recognizes that these methods and hardware are used throughout the entertainment industry in arenas, convention and trade show spaces and in theatrical venues.
• Up Riggers work in the air, in the roof structure of an arena or concert stage, or on the grid of a theatre.
• Prepare materials before loading & set up rigging equipment
• Dismantle the rigging after the job
• Reports to the Upstage Supervisor or Labor Coordinator
• Performs other related duties as required
• Must work safely and look out for teammates on the job as well
• Comply with state health and safety regulations

• Must be able to be contacted and respond on short notice; is required to arrive at work sites on time and ready to work.
• Capabilities with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video equipment is highly desirable.
