Quality Auto & Equipment, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a full-time Rigger to safely handle, move, load, unload, and secure equipment. The role requires rigging experience and involves inspections, shipping/receiving, and yard maintenance.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of mechanical principles, basic math, and familiarity with heavy machinery. CDL is a plus, and safety compliance with OSHA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Rigging experience is required.
• Rigging certification is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and basic math skills.
• Familiarity with different types of heavy machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong mechanic background preferred to assist with fleet repairs.
• CDL preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of diesel mechanics.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of fleet services and vehicle / equipment maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using crane and rigging.
• Perform daily rigging inspections and follow crane operator's requests.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking for damaged goods and verifying quantities.
• Use order picking systems to accurately fulfill orders.
• Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Inspect forklift and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Operate a lift truck to move, stack, load, or unload materials safely.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Inspect customer-owned equipment for damage before loading/unloading.
• Interface with truck drivers and assist with backing operations and load securement.
• Perform basic yard maintenance and debris cleanup.
