TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced crane operator to perform lift planning, rigging, and safe operation on diverse construction projects. You will ensure compliance with plans, inspect equipment, and communicate clearly with crew to meet project goals.

Candidates should be adept at reading indicators, following safety protocols, and coordinating with management to maintain schedule and budget. This is a full‑time on‑site role in a heavy-industrial setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
  • Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Experience with cranes, rigging, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities for work activities.
  • Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and specs.
  • Operate crane to lift and move materials and objects.
  • Plan lifts, ensuring safety and proper use of capacity charts.
  • Perform rigging and daily equipment inspections.
  • Monitor load travel and prevent injuries or damage.
  • Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
  • Communicate via hand signals and with team for project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and project rules.

Job description

Perform work involving operation of various types of cranes , rigging of the equipment loads and completion of various construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
  • Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
  • Plan all lifts and take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts.
  • Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection.
  • Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property.
  • Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
  • Needs to be familiar with all hand signals and able to communicate with others, to assist in the completion of various construction projects.
  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
Qualifications
  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all required tools
  • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
