Job summary
Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking motivated individuals to join our ride operation team. You’ll help launch coasters and safely load guests, ensuring an exciting and secure experience for riders across all age groups.
The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and guest interaction, with opportunities to grow within a vibrant amusement park environment. Flexible scheduling and continuous training are offered.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around thrill rides.
- Complete ride certification tests with 100% accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Friendly, outgoing personality welcoming guests to boarding stations.
- Positive attitude to excite guests about their ride.
- Ability to react well under stress and in emergencies.
- Take direction from managers and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience.
- Entertain guests and calm nerves as they board thrill machines.
- Operate ride controls to launch attractions.
- Ensure seatbelts and lap bars are secure and items are stowed.
- Enforce rider height restrictions and safety rules.
- Assist guests in boarding and moving through the line efficiently and safely.
- Maintain clean ride patios and midways.
- Act as a first responder to ride emergencies and respond appropriately.

- Push buttons and pull switches to launch attractions through the course
- Make sure seatbelts are tight, loose items are secure, and lap bars are locked to keep guests safe
- Enforce rider restrictions and measure for height requirements
- Assist guests in and out of ride vehicles and cycle through the line efficiently and cautiously
- Keep ride patios and midways clean and looking great
- Act as a first responder to ride emergencies and respond appropriately
Pay Rate: $11.50/hr
- Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our coasters
- After passing ride certification tests with 100% accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Friendly, outgoing personality inviting guests to your boarding station
- Positive attitude to make guests excited about their ride
- Must react well in stressful and emergency situations
- Taking direction from managers and supervisors
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- In rides, you must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift
- Must be available to work night shifts varying from 10am - midnight
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
