Job summary

Six Flags New England in Massachusetts is seeking a Full-time Ride Mechanic to help maintain, repair and troubleshoot a variety of rides and attractions. You will perform daily inspections and rehab work to ensure guest safety and smooth operation.

The role requires physical stamina, comfort with heights, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will track inspections in Maximo and uphold manufacturer guidelines and state

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of assigned rides and attractions to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate with Maintenance and Operations Management on ride downtime.
• Perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions.
• Maintain, erect, repair, and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions.
• Visually inspect machines to locate causes of malfunctions.
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and/or power tools.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment including rides and attractions.
• Track inspections and repairs in Maximo and keep logs of routine maintenance.
• Comply with ride manufacturer guidelines and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily inspections of assigned rides and attractions to ensure the safe operation of all units
• Communicating with Maintenance and Operations Management on ride and attraction downtime
• Performing rehab work on theme park rides and attractions
• Maintaining, erecting, repairing, and troubleshooting various theme park rides and attractions
• Visually inspecting and listening to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
• Removing and/or replacing worn or defective parts using hand and/or power tools
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on various equipment including rides and attractions
• Tracking inspections and repairs in Maximo; Keeping accurate logs and records of routine and preventative maintenance work performed
• Complying with ride manufacturer guidelines and state regulations

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanic

• 18 years old or older with a valid driver's license
• Able to work at heights over 200 feet
• Able to lift 50 lbs. without difficulty

• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, etc.
