Job summary

Beverly Hills Gymnastics Center in Beverly Hills seeks a Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach for the Recreational Level Program, teaching girls aged 2 through 12. You will plan lessons, run classes, and ensure safety and enjoyment in a welcoming environment.

Knowledge of USAG progressions (levels 1–3, and Xcel) and strong parent communication are preferred. Willingness to earn certification within one year is encouraged. Compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop new gymnastics programs and services.
  • Prepare lesson plans for recreational lessons with head instructor.
  • Attend meetings relevant to the position.
  • Incorporate virtue and character education into classes.
  • Maintain attendance records and monitor equipment for safety.
  • Train and orient new staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB TITLE: Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach , Recreational Level Program
OBJECTIVE: To provide instruction to toddlers/children in the recreational rhythmic gymnastics program that is consistent with the mission of Beverly Hills Gymnastics Center
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
  1. Reports to: Program Director, CFL
  2. Directs: participants, parent/teacher communication, lesson direction GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Recreational Coach will teach programs for an ALL girls program. This may include programs for girls ages 2 years-teens. Together with Tots, Rollers and Twisters, and SuperTots, as well as instruction in USAG Levels 1-3. EXAMPLES OF WORK:
  3. Plan and develop new gymnastics related programs and services.
  4. Prepares lesson plans for recreational lessons in conjunction with the head instructor.
  5. Attends meetings pertinent to his or her position.
  6. Incorporate virtue and character education into all classes that are developmentally appropriate.
  7. Maintain accurate accounting of attendance in all classes.
  8. Monitor gymnastics equipment for safety, maintenance, and replacement needs.
  9. Fill out accident reports if necessary.
  10. Help train and orient new staff.
  11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  12. Ability to work with children of all ages, but primarily from ages 2 through 12
  13. Understanding of gymnastics and USAG progressions for levels 1-3 and/or Xcel levels
  14. Parent/Teacher communication and excellent student retention
  15. Ability to think creatively with regard to programming and instruction
  16. Ability to communicate effectively, establish rapport with participants and their parents, be a team player in the organization, and exercise good judgement
  17. Have working knowledge of appropriate technology to grow and enhance program ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
  18. High school diploma preferred, but high school students with excellent gymnastics experience are encouraged to apply
  19. One to three years working with children in a recreation and/or instructional setting.
  20. USAG Certification preferred. Willingness to earn certification within one year of start. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Compensation: Based on Experience
