Job summary

DOCS Health in Texas is seeking an Optometry Technician to support exams and patient care on weekends, with occasional weekdays as needed. You will work directly with patients, operate optical machinery, and use patient care software.

Responsibilities include assisting the optometrist, taking histories, helping patients choose frames, testing visual acuity and pressure, and keeping the office organized. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and travel transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required.
• Experience with computers, including knowledge of word processing, databases, and spreadsheet programs.
• Must have own transportation for site traveling.

Attention all Optometry Technicians we are calling on you to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of Texas on an "as needed basis".

Requirements

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Working as an optometric technician can include the following duties:
