UNC Health Medical Group in Smithfield and Clayton, NC, seeks an MD/DO Rheumatology physician to join the team full-time. The role involves seeing patients at the Smithfield and Clayton locations, with no required call and outpatient duties in a strong, supportive practice.

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology and NC medical licensure are required. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, vision, generous PTO, retirement plans, CME allowance, and malpractice insurance.

Rheumatology Physician (MD/DO) - UNC Rheumatology at Clayton and Smithfield

UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG) and UNC Specialty Care at Smithfield (Rheumatology and Neurology), located in Smithfield, North Carolina, are seeking an MD/DO, BC/BE Rheumatology Physician to join their group full-time. This position will see patients at the Smithfield and Clayton locations. In partnership with UNC Health Johnston, our mission is to provide compassionate, cost-effective, and high-quality care to every patient.

Responsibilities

• No Required Call
• Minimal calls from office patients; calls triaged through Healthlink
• Position will be based in Smithfield, NC
• No APP Supervision
• Existing and Growing Primary Care Sites
• Open to new grads!

Education Requirements

• Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Board Certified Rheumatology
• DEA;ACLS;MD

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements

• Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
