Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs in Providence, Rhode Island seeks a Fee Basis Physician to provide intermittent rheumatology care at VA Providence Healthcare System. Appointment is fee-for-service and intermittent with no guaranteed hours.

Requirements include a full and unrestricted medical license from any US state or territory and appropriate medical education credentials. The position is with the Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, and offers a yearly salary cap

Qualifications

• MD or DO and license from any US state or territory.
• LCME accreditation or COCA accreditation as applicable.
• ECFMG eligibility for foreign medical graduates (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and medically manage rheumatology patients.
• Provide consultation and care within rheumatology department.
• Perform procedures such as diagnostic aspiration and synovial analysis.
• Order and interpret EKG, imaging and labs.
• Deliver therapeutic injections and biopsies as needed.
