Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to manage chronic rheumatic diseases. You will obtain histories, perform exams, and diagnose conditions with MSK emphasis, supported by staff rheumatologists.

This role covers care across multiple Houston locations, with ongoing education and patient communication to improve outcomes and adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing rheumatic conditions and using labs/imaging to guide care.
• Able to obtain medical and surgical histories with a focus on MSK.
• Licensed or eligible for Texas licensure and current ASCP/NP certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history and perform thorough physical exams focused on the musculoskeletal system.
• Diagnose rheumatologic conditions and utilize laboratory and imaging studies.
• Provide routine rheumatology care and improve adherence and outcomes.
• Collaborate with rheumatology staff and work across adjacent locations as needed.
