Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Immunology/Rheumatology to cover a strategic US territory. The MSL will build scientific relationships with key thought leaders, provide non-promotional scientific information, and support investigator-initiated studies while traveling up to 70% of the time.

The role requires a Doctorate level degree and strong data-driven communication.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience required.
• Post graduate experience preferred for doctoral level candidates.
• Strong scientific acumen across relevant therapeutic areas.
• Experience in research or health care systems.
• Proficiency in data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and cross functional collaboration.
• Ability to support a territory with up to 70% travel in the US.
• Valid US driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the territory in line with Medical Affairs strategy.
• Cultivate relationships with community and academic KOLs to advance scientific credibility.
• Engage in high-quality scientific exchange with health care professionals and translate data into meaningful discussions.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance decision making and efficiency in core responsibilities.
• Stay current on competitors and treatment landscape to inform medical strategy.
• Provide scientific support for investigator-initiated studies and manage inquiries about products and research.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across R&D and Medical Affairs to support objectives.
• Document activities and expenses accurately and timely.
