Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA or RMA credential is a plus.
• Previous experience in rheumatology or related specialty is desirable.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, medical histories, and document symptoms related to rheumatologic conditions.
• Assist rheumatologists during exams and procedures, including joint injections and other treatments.
• Draw blood, collect lab specimens, and administer medications as directed.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and coordinate referrals.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow up on lab results.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a safe clinical environment.
