Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant at University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Full-Time, Days.

You will work with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced primary care setting, delivering compassionate patient care and helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. Whether MA or CMA, bring a positive attitude, strong clinical skills, and a proactive approach to anticipating patient needs.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Or two (2) years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Mansioni

• Obtain and document vital signs, recognizing and reporting abnormal findings.
• Assist with patient intake, rooming, and clinic flow.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, linens, and equipment.
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect clinical equipment per policy.
• Collect, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens as needed.
• Support patient comfort and care while considering age-specific and special needs.
• Accurately document patient information in the EMR and coordinate follow-up care.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
