Job summary

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Faculty Physician in Rheumatology at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an Academic or Master Clinician Track. The role combines 85% clinical time with 15% academic time, focusing on inpatient consults and outpatient care.

Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents and fellows, precepting clinics, and participating in regular conferences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training program.
• Board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible/certified in rheumatology.
• Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for rheumatology and autoimmune diseases in outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation services.
• Call services are distributed among the Division faculty based on clinical FTE.
• This 85% clinical and 15% academic time position includes teaching medical students, residents and fellows, precepting continuity clinics, and participating in learner didactics and weekly conferences.
• Encourage annual publications and participation in Division/Department faculty meetings.
