Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, ME is seeking a full-time Rheumatology Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions in collaboration with rheumatologists, across outpatient and inpatient settings where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current state license as NP or PA.
• BLS certification at hire; maintain ongoing.
• Two years of APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, exams, and diagnostics.
• Evaluate and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and lupus.
• Order, interpret labs and imaging; develop and adjust treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor efficacy and safety; manage chronic diseases.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and infusion/therapy services.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Education
