Job summary

Spencer Britt in the North Austin area seeks a board-certified Rheumatologist to build a new specialty line for a local health care center. You will establish outpatient rheumatology services and an infusion clinic from the ground up, shaping protocols, staffing, and patient access.

Qualifications

• Board-certified rheumatologist with eligible license in Texas.
• Experience in outpatient rheumatology and FQHC settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care to FQHC patients and community members, including uninsured and those with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.
• Plan, launch, and operate a rheumatology infusion clinic with safe access to biologic therapies; design protocols and train staff.
• Diagnose and treat autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and vasculitis.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans incorporating medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and joint procedures.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists for multidisciplinary care.
• Educate patients and families to empower self-management and informed decisions.
• Contribute to care model innovation and expand access to rheumatologic care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and population health strategies to address disparities.
