Job summary

CompHealth is partnering with a California hospital to build a new Rheumatology service line on the Pacific Coast near Santa Barbara. This is a solo, 100% outpatient role with a strong primary care referral base and a 36/4 schedule with an option for a 4-day week.

The position is a 1099 independent contractor with 1–3 year contracts, six weeks of PTO, and a hospital ranked among the top in the state. Licensing support, interviews, and salary negotiation are provided.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist.
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• New fellows welcome to apply.
• Willingness to operate in a solo capacity with strong primary care referrals.

Responsibilities

• Build a new Rheumatology service line.
• Provide 100% outpatient care with a busy daily patient base.
• Work with strong primary care referrals from day one.
• Coordinate licensing and interview logistics with our team.
