W3Global, a physician-owned rheumatology practice in Southwest Florida, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Rheumatologist for the Sarasota/Venice area. This outpatient focus offers strong clinical support, physician autonomy, and a favorable work/life balance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
• Fellowship training in Rheumatology and Florida license eligibility.
• Experience with biologic and infusion therapies and outpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including biologics and infusions.
• Perform joint injections and aspirations when appropriate.
• Coordinate care with nurses, APPs, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Educate patients and families; maintain EMR documentation; monitor treatment response.

Position Overview

A growing physician-owned rheumatology practice is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join its teams in the Sarasota/Venice area.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of rheumatic and autoimmune conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, biologic and infusion therapies, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform procedures such as joint injections and aspirations when clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with medical assistants, infusion nurses, APPs, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Coordinate patient care with primary care physicians and other specialists.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and disease management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Review laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies and communicate recommendations to patients.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment response, including immunosuppressive and biologic therapies.
• Collaborate with the infusion team regarding biologic and infusion treatments.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to APPs and clinical staff as appropriate.
• Participate in practice meetings, quality initiatives, and clinical improvement programs.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with referring physicians and the medical community.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency
• Fellowship training in Rheumatology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• Valid and unrestricted Florida medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong clinical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
