Job summary

UPMC Rheumatology Hanover is seeking a board-certified/eligible rheumatologist to join a thriving outpatient practice in Hanover, PA. The role includes adult patient care, inpatient consultation via telehealth and e-Consults, and hands-on procedures such as joint injections, with optional use of in-office ultrasound.

You will join a collaborative team with strong patient-centered care, opportunities for academic involvement through Drexel University, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in rheumatology.
• Fellowship-trained or graduating fellow eligible to practice in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adult rheumatology patients in ambulatory setting.
• Provide inpatient consultation support through telehealth and e-Consults.
• Perform office-based procedures, including joint injections.
• Utilize in-office ultrasound for patient care if desired.
• Share on-call duties with nurse triage support.

Position Highlights

• Location: UPMC Rheumatology, 3130 Grandview Rd, Building B, Suite 2, Hanover, PA 17331
• Schedule: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift
• Practice Setting: Established outpatient rheumatology practice with two experienced rheumatologists
• Call: Minimal call responsibilities with after-hours nurse triage support; shared equally among UPMC providers
• Retirement Benefit: Employer-funded pension plan in addition to a 403(b)-retirement plan with 50% employer match
