Job summary

Phillips Tube Group, Inc. is hiring a Truck Driver in Richmond, IN. You will transport goods, inspect trucks, plan routes, and log work/rest periods while using Samsara and Dispatch software.

This full-time role requires a CDL A and at least two years of experience, with pay up to $25 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and expect you to work 40+ hours, potentially more, with the option to relocate to Richmond, IN if needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods, retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Navigate Samsara and Dispatch apps and upload POD photos.
• Comply with CDL regulations and company policies.

We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods, retain fuel/toll receipts
• Add "notations" into our automated Samsara system for each stage of the loading and unloading process, Fuel, and Breaks.
• Use our Dispatch software and be able to navigate the apps correctly along with sending pictures of the POD.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Must be able to haul loads with a van body, and flatbed trailers with tarps. Flatbed loads include strapping bundles, chaining steel coils and machinery.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours-or more, if necessary.
• Must be flexible to work up to 12 hours

• Not more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No major violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Must have valid class "A" CDL license
• Two years driving experience
