Job summary

Genesis Security Services Inc. busca personal de seguridad para Corrales, Puerto Rico. Se encargará de vigilancia, control de acceso y atención a clientes, con rondas preventivas y reportes de incidentes durante el turno.

Se requiere licencia vigente de seguridad; formación en manejo de emergencias y atención al público. Turnos rotativos y disponibilidad de fines de semana pueden aplicar.

Qualifications

• Se requiere licencia de guardia de seguridad vigente o en trámite.
• Cerrar rondas de seguridad al inicio de cada turno y cada 15 minutos para verificar el estado del área.
• Observar actividades irregulares como robos, vandalismo o violencia.
• Reportar infracciones o actos sospechosos al supervisor.
• Permanecer en la zona designada y no abandonar el puesto sin autorización.

Responsibilities

• Realizar rondas de prevención en el puesto al inicio de turno y cada 15 minutos; registrar hallazgos o dejar constancia de estado.
• Observar actividades irregular/indicios de delito y reportarlas.
• Contestar llamadas y orientar al público, además de gestionar acceso a las instalaciones.
• Mantener el área de trabajo limpia y ordenada; cumplir políticas del personal.
• Encargarse de dirigir tráfico si aplica y asistir en situaciones de emergencia.

The Security Officer is responsible for providing surveillance and patrolling the client's property to prevent theft, violence, and rule violations. Those assigned to positions where they have to attend to the public and tolls will be responsible for providing change at toll stations and controlling access through the toll stations, ensuring that the client gives the required amount of money before granting access.

General Responsibilities:

1. 1. Possess a valid security guard license or be in the process of obtaining one.
2. 2. Conduct preventive rounds at the post at the start of the shift and every 15 minutes, to verify that everything is in order. In the Incident Log, record any relevant findings, if any, found during each preventive round conducted during the shift. Otherwise, write the start and end time of the round and the phrase 'Everything in order.'
3. 3. Observe the occurrence of irregular or suspicious activities such as theft, acts of vandalism, or violent acts against property or people in the vicinity.
4. 4. Report all violations or suspicious or irregular acts verbally and in writing to the immediate supervisor.
5. 5. Remain in the designated area at the workstation; do not leave the area without prior authorization from your supervisor.
6. 6. Do not leave the assigned area until you physically hand over the position to the employee who will relieve you.
7. 7. Periodically make rounds throughout your work area, as assigned.
8. 8. Verbally communicate to the incoming shift and your supervisor any pending matters, received orders, or important observations, as well as what has happened in the area, and record it in writing in the logbook.
9. 9. Bring exclusively during your shift the complete work uniform and the equipment necessary to perform your job.
10. 10. Collaborate in directing vehicular traffic when required to do so
11. 11. Control the access of people or vehicles, equipment, and others to the client's facilities
12. 12. Complete the designated document to evidence your meal period (PTA) and when covering your colleague's PTA, as necessary
13. 13. Document your start and end time of the work shift on the attendance sheet and in the logbook
14. 14. Keep workstations clean and free of food and drinks
15. 15. Know and comply with all Company personnel policies and procedures, including the use of uniforms and personal hygiene.
16. 16. Verify, respond to, and handle emergency calls or signals.
17. 17. Answer customer telephone calls.
18. 18. Treat customers and colleagues courteously.
19. 19. Call the Police, Fire Department, and other emergency or law enforcement agencies in case of emergencies such as fire, theft, presence of suspicious individuals, etc.
20. 20. Guide people regarding rule violations, remove undesirable people or those who maintain inappropriate behavior, from the client's facilities
21. 21. Stay informed about the organization's objectives and comply with established minimum quality standards
22. 22. Stay informed about the policies of the Security Guard Division and personnel
23. 23. Fully comply with the rules established in the GSS Personnel Manual
24. 24. Work rotating shifts and overtime when required
25. 25. Keep your work area organized and clean, free of food and drinks
26. 26. Any other assigned task
27. 27. Requires tranning of baton and mechanical restrains.
