Job summary

Custom Goods LLC in Shorewood, IL is seeking a Material Handler I to support receiving, shipping, sorting and storing materials. You will work with warehouse teammates to maintain accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

You will move materials from trucks and pallets, label and pack items, and use RF equipment to track inventory. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to thrive in a fast-paced, safety‑conscious environment focused on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of relevant warehouse and distribution experience preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Moves materials off trucks, pallets or racks and prepare orders for shipment.
• Sort and segregate materials onto correct pallet or other locations based on item number.
• Place labels on boxes or pallets as instructed in the process.
• Wrap pallets with stretch wrap and other packaging supplies.
• Put away product in designated warehouse locations.
• Identify damage, loss, or surplus of materials and communicate issues.
• Utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, push and pull and withstand temperatures in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Keep clean and safe work environment.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations, including safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
