Job summary

SemiGen is seeking a Test Technician to perform DC and RF testing of completed assemblies, using established work instructions and automated test software. The role involves setup and measurement with a range of lab equipment and will require meticulous documentation of results.

Qualifications

• AS Degree or equivalent related experience in test & measurement.
• Experience with bench equipment (Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope).
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-750 & MIL-STD-883.
• Good dexterity to work under a microscope.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, including written and phone communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Determine test configuration from product specification.
• Set up, operate and maintain PNA/VNAs, frequency synthesizers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, power supplies and DVMs.
• Perform DC and RF measurements (gain, insertion loss, VSWR, etc.).
• Test, tune and troubleshoot RF microwave hybrid assemblies.
• Work under a microscope as required to test and troubleshoot assemblies and use hand tools.
• Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of unit production.
• Document test findings in test reports/lot travelers.
• Flag non-conforming material.
