Job Overview

Kratos Microwave, Inc., a Kratos company is looking for an RF Test Technician II to work onsite at their Folsom, CA location.

General Job Summary

The Test Technician II is responsible for tuning, testing, and troubleshooting RF, Microwave, and millimeter wave electronic components and multi-function assemblies in a clean room environment. The technician conducts functional tests to ensure company and customer specifications are met.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of RF, Microwave and Millimeter Wave electronic components to meet required specifications.
• Understand basic RF and DC testing required in support of production hardware, including Frequency, Gain, Gain Flatness, Noise Figure, Return Loss, P1dB Compression, second and third order intercept points, and DC Current.
• Use standard test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scalar analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, sweep generators, multimeters, power supplies, and power meters.
• Inspect assemblies to ensure quality assurance standards are met.
• Possess good dexterity and work under a microscope for extended periods.
• Analyze and document results for items tuned and/or tested.
• Work in a manufacturing environment and meet targets/goals.
• Understand and work from verbal instructions, test specs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Follow safety requirements and ISO procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Work with engineering and quality teams to provide feedback on production problems and improvement ideas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience or training.
• At least 2 years of experience.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Shop floor environment / workbench or workstation.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods.
• Work under a microscope for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive motions.

Manufacturing floor includes equipment with high and cold temperatures, high voltages, and sharp tools.

May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
