Job summary

Mercury Systems in Oxnard, CA seeks a seasoned RF Test Technician III to perform functional, environmental, and operational tests on RF assemblies and subassemblies. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Launch and test circuits in fixtures to specifications.
• Bias FETs and transistors for RF circuits.
• Test and tune amplifiers from 10MHz to 18GHz.
• Participate in continuous improvement and team activities.
• Apply RF fundamentals and calibrate test equipment.
• Operate DC power supplies, RF signal generators, and analyzers.
• Follow ESD procedures.

Job Summary

As a seasoned RF Test Technician III, you will be performing a variety of electronic testing operations, including functional, environmental, and operational tests, as well as tuning, biasing, and troubleshooting devices in a bench test environment. The bulk of these duties will be performing tests on chip and wire technology on state-of-the-art RF electronic assemblies and subassemblies for the Department of War. The devices we create are designed to save American lives on the battlefield and to give our troops a technological advantage over our advisories. Job responsibilities

• Launching and testing circuits in fixtures to specifications
• Biasing FETs (Field Effect Transistor) and/or transistors
• Proficiently testing and tuning standard catalog amplifiers from 10MHz to 18GHz
• Participating in continuous improvement and team building activities. Maintains productive working relationships with all team members
• Applying RF fundamentals including but not limited to RF Gain, Gain Flatness, Gain Matching Return Loss P1 dB Compression, phase/phase tracking
• Being proficient in RF theory and principals
• Testing for gain, gain flatness, noise figure, VSWR, P1dB, IP3, and phase
• Calibration of test equipment
• Tuning and troubleshooting
• Operating test equipment like DC power supplies, RF signal generators, scalar and network analyzers
• Understanding DC theory (Ohm's Law)
• Following ESD procedures

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Familiar with computers (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to obtain US DoW Secret Clearance
• AS degree in EE, EET, or similar
• Preferred experience in tuning RF thin film circuits

This position requires you to haveor obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
