Job summary

Apple is seeking a mechanical design engineer in Cupertino to design and test RF/Analog fixture hardware from prototype to mass production. You will manage fixture assembly, bring‑up, debugging and verification, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality and reliability across test hardware for cellular, 5G, WiFi, BT, mmWave, UWB and NFC radios.

30% travel. Ideal candidates have strong 2D/3D CAD, GD&T, and hands‑on engineering skills, with experience deploying mass

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or 3 years of equivalent practice experience.
• Solid mechanical design and hands‑on engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to define and implement solution for mechanical system validation.
• Proficiency with 2D drawing, GD&T, alignments and 3D CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design custom hardware to test Apple wireless products from prototype to mass production.
• Manage mechanical design through internal and external supply chain partners.
• Execute end‑to‑end manufacturing strategy including fixture assembly, bring up, debugging and verification.
• Work closely with vendors to design and fabricate fixture hardware.
