Job summary

Silvus is seeking a full‑time RF Test Engineer to join the RF Engineering team. The role is 100% onsite in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego, CA, reporting to the Director of RF Engineering.

You will use RF test equipment to evaluate performance, generate reports, and refine verification matrices. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of RF hardware testing experience, strong troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of multi‑GHz RF hardware test experience.
• Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzer, etc.
• Experience with component‑level RF circuit characterization and optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide a clear summary of test status and any issues to the broader team.

Key Responsibilities

• Use RF test equipment to evaluate system performance, compliance, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Carry out RF test execution and generate status and test reports.
• Define verification matrix and internal specifications of RF performance.
• Review test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing test strategies.
• Recommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance.
• Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.
• Properly use and handle sensitive RF circuits and equipment.

Required Qualifications
