Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer for an onsite role in Mountain View, CA. The candidate will support electrical and RF test activities and collaborate with hardware teams.

The position requires 8+ years in electrical/mechanical assembly, OTA chamber testing experience, and strong scripting or automation skills. Excellent documentation and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's in electronic technology or related field.
• (8+ years) in electrical/mechanical assembly.
• OTA chamber experience with R&S/Bluetest/GTS.
• RF call boxes experience with R&S/Keysight/Anritsu.
• RF passive/active components experience (splitters, filters, amplifiers).
• Windows or ChromeOS proficiency; Google Docs/Sheets familiarity.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation.

Job description

Location: Mountain View, CA (100% onsite)

Hire Type: Full Time / Contract

• Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of industry experience with electrical troubleshooting, electrical assembly, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience with OTA chambers from R&S, Bluetest, or GTS
• Experience with call boxes from R&S, Keysight, or Anritsu.
• Experience with RF passive/active components such as splitters, filters, amplifiers, etc.
• Computer skills: Windows or ChromeOS is a must,
• Familiar with word docs (Google Docs) and spreadsheets (Google Sheets)
• Detail-oriented is a must-have

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in RF Desense Measurements (noise profile, interference, coexistence) is a plus
• Experience in RF HW Testing Setups for Conducted measurements
• Experience creating prototype mockups and test fixtures
• Experience with scripting or Python
• Excellent electrical assembly and debugging skills.
