Job summary
A leading technology firm in Franklin, Virginia is seeking an RF Technician to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair of mission-critical RF systems. This lab-based role involves working with complex RF equipment, diagnosing failures, and ensuring the reliability of radar and communication systems. Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with RF test and measurement equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot without schematics or OEM documentation.
- Experience with radar, RF communications, or similar systems preferred.
- Familiarity with analog and digital circuit troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing RF systems to the component level.
- Using RF test equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
- Performing RF measurements including small/large signal analysis.
- Diagnosing radar, IFF, and communication system failures.
- Interpreting schematics, waveforms, and diagnostic data.
- Tuning and reworking RF circuits and assemblies.
- Documenting repair findings and maintaining technical records.
Skills
Hands-on experience with RF test and measurement equipment
Troubleshooting without schematics or OEM documentation
Experience with radar, RF communications, or similar systems
Familiarity with analog and digital circuit troubleshooting
