CPI Power Electronics, located in State College, PA, is seeking a hands-on Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will build, test, troubleshoot, and rework complex electro‑mechanical assemblies while ensuring products meet high quality and performance standards.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship. If you enjoy solving technical problems and working with advanced electronics in a fast-paced environment, this role

Formación

• AA degree or equivalent technical training, or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot data deviations or defects.

Responsabilidades

• Assembles, tunes, tests, troubleshoots, and reworks electro-mechanical assemblies from schematics and instructions.
• Operates test equipment and makes adjustments to meet specifications.
• Conducts tests, records data, and reports results in prescribed formats.
• Provides technical assistance and collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams.

We are seeking a hands‑on Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll build, test, troubleshoot, and rework complex electro‑mechanical assemblies while helping ensure our products meet demanding quality and performance standards. We’re looking for someone with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and pride in their workmanship. If you enjoy solving technical problems, working with advanced electronics, and collaborating in a fast‑paced, high‑tech manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the quality and delivery of CPI products.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

Performs various electronic and technical assignments such as tuning, troubleshooting, adjusting, testing tubes, microwave products, devices, and systems; works from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions.

• Operates related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to tune, test and troubleshoot specific product or equipment.
• Uses pre-determined methods, sequences, and set‑ups to visually test specific equipment or product making necessary modifications and adjustments as necessary.
• Recommends changes or modifications to improve general operation or the quality of equipment or product making necessary modifications and adjustments as needed.
• Conducts a variety of engineering or productions tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs moderate analysis of rejected, returned, and in-process microwave tubes in support of engineering and manufacturing as required.
• Provides technical assistance as necessary.
• Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

• Typically requires A.A. degree in appropriate technology or equivalent technical training, or the combination of training and related experience of 3-5 years.
• Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot minor data deviations or physical defects
• Excellent problem‑solving skills
• Team-oriented with Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of basic fundamentals in assigned area and ability to use common equipment and instruments.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
