Job summary

Apple’s Wireless Instrument Engineering team in Cupertino seeks an RF/analog test engineer to build and maintain precision RF measurement equipment used to calibrate cellular, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and related radios across devices.

You will debug bench RF problems, develop automated test software in Python and C++, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and support internal customers from prototype to mass production, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 3–4 years of hands-on RF, wireless, or test/measurement engineering.
• Strong RF fundamentals and bench debugging of RF problems.
• Experience developing automated test software in Python and/or C++.
• Strong communication and ability to present technical findings to cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Debug RF and analog measurement problems on the bench, isolating root cause across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Develop, maintain, and extend automated test and calibration software for RF instrumentation.
• Characterize RF systems and instruments using signal generators, analyzers, VNAs, and power sensors.
• Support RF applications and bring‑up, partnering with hardware and software engineers from prototype through mass production.
• Work directly with internal customers to understand test requirements, deploy solutions, and provide hands‑on RF applications support.
• Analyze RF measurement data and present clear findings to technical audiences.
• Improve test coverage and throughput by automating workflows and CI/CD integration.
• Contribute to calibration methods and traceability.
