Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., via Eta Wireless, seeks an RF Systems Engineer in Waltham, MA to solve challenging problems in RF power electronics and communications using Digital Envelope Tracking technology.

The role includes mentoring engineers, leading one or more projects, and working with tier-one customers to deliver system-level DET solutions for Wi‑Fi and 5G platforms, with on-site work and flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• MSEE or PhD in RF engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, measurement, troubleshooting, standards, and theory.
• Strong understanding of Wi‑Fi and 5G standards and typical transmit-side RF testing.
• Proficiency with Matlab or a similar programming language.
• Experience managing a technical project or program.

Eta Wireless is solving the fundamental problem of RF power amplifier power consumption in communications devices. We pioneered Digital Envelope Tracking (DET) technology and have since been acquired by Murata Manufacturing in September 2021. Eta is a multi-disciplinary, multi-national team of engineers with expertise spanning RF systems, power electronics, integrated circuits, embedded systems, software, algorithms, and module design. The breadth of expertise allows us to solve challenging problems with creative and disruptive solutions at tier-one customers.

The RF Systems Engineer works with wireless (e.g. cellular/Wi-Fi) platforms solving complex problems with solutions involving power electronics, algorithms, and a clear understanding of system-level requirements. They work with tier-one platform customers to integrate DET technology and contribute to Eta Wireless internal technology development. The RF Systems Engineer has relevant experience, mentors other engineers, manages one or more projects, and can clearly explain both problem and solution to engineers internally and in customer engagements.

Maximum Salary: $131,055
