Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As an RF System Analyst, you will help define and verify the performance of our RF systems and phased arrays across different customer terminal and satellite RF systems from antenna and link models to MAC. You'll implement link and system models, run parametric studies, design RF filters and antennas, and work with hardware and firmware teams to align real-world behavior with the models.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing analysis and link model code, building models from first principles, and then walking into the lab to see those models validated on hardware.
Key job responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain link budget and RF system models for key use cases (mobility, fixed, enterprise, gateway, etc.).
  • Run sensitivity and corner analyses to understand performance margins and drive design tradeoffs.
  • Help define RF system KPIs and integrate them into automated analysis/reporting pipelines.
  • Build and maintain simulation scripts and tooling (Python/Matlab, SystemVue/ADS, CST/HFSS) to support architecture reviews.
  • Partner with antenna, RFIC, and baseband teams to ensure models accurately reflect implementation constraints (e.g., quantization, phase/amplitude errors, calibration residuals).
  • Support test plan definition for lab/field campaigns that validate system models.
  • Analyze measured data, compare against predicted performance, and propose corrective actions or model updates.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, tooling guidelines, and "how-to" references for system modeling.
Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
You will design and implement RF Systems and designs that will then be implemented and validated using Leo's satellite and CT network. You'll work with some of the worlds top phased array engineers and develop systems and processes that lead to true innovation and delivered products.
About The Team
You’ll be part of the same Phased Array Antenna and Systems organization. We are a multi-disciplinary group of systems, RF, antenna, EMI/EMC, software, and test engineers who jointly own the end-to-end RF performance of the LEO system, Design the phased arrays from nothing to high volume product, and design from ADC to antenna and back. We value engineers who can dive deep into data, collaborate across domains, and move quickly from models to measured results.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale
