Job summary

Leidos’ NISC IV program seeks a Radio Frequency Engineer/Spectrum Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group in RF/spectrum engineering, EMI/EMC and interference analysis, and geospatial analysis. The role involves evaluating C‑UAS test and operations for NAS impacts and requires on-site presence in Washington, DC in a hybrid arrangement.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in RF/spectrum engineering, knowledge of RF propagation, GIS, and related tools, and must be a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Completion of a formal spectrum management course or equivalent.
  • 2+ years in RF/spectrum engineering and related analyses.
  • Ability to interpret RF specs, frequencies, bandwidths, and geographic parameters.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with DoD Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct RF spectrum compatibility and interference analyses for C-UAS systems.
  • Evaluate test, training, and operational requests and provide required analyses.
  • Assess NAS impacts and recommend technical mitigations and controls.
  • Prepare STA requests and support spectrum operations using AFM/TCAT/GMF.
  • Use RF engineering tools to perform circle searches and RF compatibility assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders.
