Job summary

Communications & Power Industries (CPI) seeks an electronics technician to perform tuning, testing and troubleshooting of tubes and microwave products. You will work from schematics and instructions, operate test equipment and report data in standard formats.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent training, 3–5 years of related experience, and U.S. citizenship. You will join a team-oriented environment that emphasizes precision and reliability in technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires AA degree or technical training or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to use VNA, PNA, oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer and other test equipment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Strong fundamentals in the assigned area and ability to use common equipment.

Responsibilities

• Tuning, troubleshooting, adjusting, testing tubes, microwave products, devices and systems from schematics and drawings.
• Operate related electronic and mechanical test equipment to tune and troubleshoot products.
• Follow pre-determined methods and set-ups to visually test equipment; modify as needed.
• Suggest changes to improve operation or quality of equipment or product.
• Conduct and report various engineering/production tests in prescribed formats.
• Perform analysis of rejected/returned/in-process microwave tubes to support engineering/manufacturing.
• Provide technical assistance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
