Job summary

E-Space is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to explore across mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering, with hands-on exposure to robotics, CAD design, prototype development, and test execution.

You'll support engineers on projects that drive innovation in advanced manufacturing, automation, and aerospace systems, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
  • Basic experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar).
  • Exposure to programming or robotics platforms (Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Fanuc, Beckhoff, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on skills; comfortable working in lab, shop, or prototype environments.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation (test plans, work instructions, reports).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in robotics and automation projects, including programming and hardware integration.
  • Create and modify parts and assemblies using SolidWorks or other CAD tools.
  • Support the design, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes.
  • Write and maintain test plans, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in executing functional and performance tests, collecting and analyzing data.
  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to troubleshoot, solve problems, and implement improvements.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and innovation in the lab and shop environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern with interests across mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering to join our team. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, offering exposure to robotics, CAD design, prototype development, and test execution. The intern will support engineers on projects that drive innovation in advanced manufacturing, automation, and aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities
