Job summary

SpaceX's Akoustis subsidiary in Canandaigua, NY seeks a Process Engineer to sustain and improve RF filter manufacturing for Starlink. You will drive yield, quality, and efficiency through data analysis, DOE, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or physics and 1+ year in semiconductor fabrication or SPC. Onsite work and extended hours may be needed; you’ll join a team delivering high-volume production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 1+ years of experience with semiconductor fabrication processes or statistical process control.
• Experience with metrology and failure analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with SPC, DOE, 8D, and risk/change management processes.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Canandaigua, NY.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes to improve efficiency and yield.
• Analyze data, identify process deviations, and assist in root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Perform design of experiments to understand process mapping.
• Recommend measures to reduce process variation and improve product quality and yield.
• Assist operations and maintenance teams to maintain, qualify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Ensure safety and quality protocols are followed.
• Review work center SPC charts.
• Document process specifications and OCAPs.
• Train operators and technicians.
