Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks an RF Phased Array Engineer II to develop RF products and evaluate COTS components. You will model antenna performance and drive architecture/design from prototyping to flight readiness, working with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.

You should have a BS in electrical engineering or RF communications with 2+ years of experience and be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, RF communications (or equivalent) and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Basic knowledge of antenna and array modeling.
• Ability to obtain TS / SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end product development: architecture design, prototyping, integration, test, flight development.
• Model and simulate array performance.
• Collaborate with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.
• Support transition from product introduction to production.
• Interface with vendors and customers.
• Develop test plans and procedures for testing active antennas (EIRP & G/T).
• Design and development of GSE and production automation.
• Support documentation including ICDs and user manuals.
