Job summary

Gowanda Electronics Corp. in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Tuner Technician I to support RF/microwave tuning operations and learn production tuning processes under supervision.

The role reports to the Production or Engineering Supervisor and focuses on developing skills for independent tuning responsibilities. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, basic electronics knowledge, and strong manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling preferred.
• Basic electronics knowledge and willingness to learn RF principles.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read technical documents and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tuning of RF/Microwave filters under supervision.
• Operate VNAs, Network Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers with guidance.
• Follow work instructions, travelers, schematics, and tuning procedures.
• Document test results and tuning adjustments accurately.
• Identify basic performance issues and escalate when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
