The objective of the 2027 summer intern project is to develop a highly integrated test platform for measuring and characterizing amplifier modules across center frequency, power, temperature, and signal waveforms. Characterizing performance across this multi-dimensional test space is essential for validating operation throughout the amplifier’s specified operating conditions. The resulting test matrix may contain many conditions and produce a significant volume of measurement data. The intern will therefore focus on developing a scalable test architecture that automates equipment control and data acquisition while efficiently processing, cataloging, and presenting the results for engineering reviews. The project will span multiple technical disciplines, including RF test methodology, high-speed ADC data acquisition, microcontroller communication and control, automated test sequencing, and data-processing and visualization techniques.
