Job summary

GVI Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking an RF Hardware Engineer to design, test, and document PCB-level and system hardware for C4ISR programs. You will analyze requirements, support test activities, and help implement new hardware test processes.

The role demands hands-on RF, spectrum analyzer experience, and strong project management for large programs. A strong technical background and mentorship of technicians are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT, Physics or related field; Master’s in same.
• 5 years C4ISR or related experience in large system design, testing, installation, and analysis.
• Senior project management experience for planning, scheduling and execution of large programs.
• Hands on RF experience, networking, HiPot testing and spectrum analyzer experience.
• Test software programming; Flying Probe program generation and debugging; software upgrades.
• Train, mentor, and support test and repair technicians.
• Troubleshoot tester hardware and software issues with customer support.
• Analyze failure data and maintain backups of test programs and data.

Responsibilities

• Design and test engineering activities for PCBs and related components.
• Support development, evaluation, testing and operation of C4ISR components and systems.
• Review and update technical documentation; analyze R&D plans.
• Oversee installation, validation and development of new test equipment and processes.
