Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks an experienced RF Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize RF subsystems for national security programs. On-site in Virginia, you will support RF modeling, testing, and system integration across defense-related projects.

Applicants should have an Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph, 15+ years of RF engineering experience, and proficiency with MATLAB, ADS, CST, HFSS. Collaboration with government and contractor teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or RF engineering, physics or related discipline.
• 15+ years of RF systems engineering, development, testing or analysis.
• Experience with RF communications, radar, EW, SIGINT or related tech.
• Proficiency with RF analysis tools such as MATLAB, ADS, CST, HFSS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and evaluate RF subsystems, components, and architectures to meet mission requirements.
• Perform RF modeling, simulation, link budget analysis, and performance assessments.
• Develop and review technical requirements, interface documentation, and artifacts.
• Support system integration, verification, validation, and test activities.
• Conduct technical trade studies and advise on improvements in performance and maintainability.
• Analyze test data, identify issues, and develop corrective actions.
• Collaborate with government, contractor, and cross-functional teams throughout lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of experience supporting RF systems engineering, development, testing, or analysis.
• Experience working with RF communications, radar, electronic warfare, SIGINT, or related technologies.
• Proficiency with RF analysis tools such as MATLAB, ADS, CST, HFSS, or equivalent engineering tools.
• Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, signal analysis, and performance characterization.
• Experience supporting system integration and formal test activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.

Desired:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or national security programs.
• Familiarity with digital signal processing, wireless communications, or satellite communications systems.
• Experience conducting requirements analysis and systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
• Experience supporting acquisition, sustainment, or integration of large-scale RF systems.

Basic Compensation:

$248,100 to $372,200 annually

This range is for the Virginia area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
