Vanteon in Rochester, NY is seeking a Product Compliance and Certification Specialist to guide RF/EMC and regulatory aspects from prototype to production release. You will plan testing, coordinate certification activities, review designs for compliance, and collaborate with design and test teams to resolve issues across FCC, CE, RoHS, and UL requirements.

The role requires hands-on testing, documentation ownership, and the ability to manage external labs and timelines while ensuring regulatory

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent technical education with substantial relevant experience.
• Five+ years of experience in electronic product compliance, RF/EMC testing, certification, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience guiding multiple electronic or wireless products from prototype through formal testing, approvals, and production release.
• Strong working knowledge of FCC equipment authorization and European conformity assessment for electronic and radio products.
• Experience coordinating product safety evaluations with UL or another recognized testing and certification organization.
• Working knowledge of RoHS requirements and the documentation used to demonstrate materials compliance.
• Ability to interpret regulations and standards and apply them to a product and its markets.
• Hands‑on experience with RF/EMC measurements and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to review schematics and product configurations.
• Experience preparing or maintaining test reports, certification submissions, and compliance records.
• Ability to manage external laboratories and multiple approvals while tracking costs and schedules.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Identify applicable product and market requirements for FCC, CE, UL, and RoHS.
• Develop compliance plans, test schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Review designs and translate regulatory requirements into engineering tasks.
• Plan and perform RF and EMC pre‑compliance testing.
• Coordinate laboratories, certification bodies, and external partners.
• Prepare test samples, configurations, operating modes, and documentation.
• Review test results and work with engineers to diagnose failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate submission of certification documents and maintain compliance records.
• Evaluate product changes for additional testing or approvals.
• Support manufacturing compliance through traceability and production testing.
