Job summary

Falcata seeks highly motivated engineering students for a Hardware Engineering Spring Intern position in Plymouth, MA. You will explore RF/microwave systems, digital hardware design, and embedded software while applying classroom concepts to real-world sensor and radar-related work.

You will assist with manufacturing support, data analysis, test procedures, and CAD-based modeling. Strong academic performance and US citizenship with DoD clearance eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university and be in good academic standing.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Hardware Engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting manufacturing production including testing and debug.
• Data analysis and identify post flight or mission data processing.
• Field test support and data collection.
• Acceptance testing of RF/microwave components.
• Assisting with electronic component test procedure development.
• Circuit modeling & Solid modeling using CAD tools.
• System modeling and design verification.
• System integration and testing.
• Statistical component failure analysis.
• Low-voltage digital hardware testing and design.
• Signal analysis using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Learning to use CAD tools like MATLAB, SolidWorks, Python and KiCAD.
