Job summary

Instant Care in San Diego, CA is seeking an Electronics Validation Test Technician to validate low-power RF and embedded devices used in life-safety systems. The role involves hands-on testing, debugging, documentation, and release-readiness verification.

The candidate will execute structured test plans, work with RF equipment, schematics, and hardware documentation, and report findings to Engineering, QA, and Production teams. Onsite 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electronic assemblies, testing, validation, or production.
• Basic understanding of DC electronics and circuit operation.
• Ability to read and follow technical work instructions and validation plans.
• Ability to use schematics, test points, and hardware docs for troubleshooting.
• Experience using basic electronic test equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with computers for documentation and records.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to teams.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tests with accuracy.
• Reliable transportation; onsite Mon–Fri.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform validation testing on release-candidate RF, embedded, and sensor-based products.
• Execute structured validation test plans and procedures.
• Verify product performance and readiness for production release.
• Test RF transmitter performance, range, and receiver compatibility.
• Test embedded device functionality and firmware-driven behavior.
• Support testing of MEMS or sensor-driven products.
• Operate diverse electronic test equipment.
• Review schematics and hardware notes to guide tests.
• Document test results clearly with evidence.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, QA to improve reliability.
• Support production testing and quality verification.
• Ensure compliance with validation and quality standards.
