Job summary

Thales in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Test Technician to perform acceptance testing and diagnostic troubleshooting on electronic and RF-based equipment. You will support engineering and production by executing tests, documenting results, and escalating abnormalities for timely resolution in a production-focused environment.

The role requires reading schematics, following procedures, and strong attention to detail. 9/80 or 5/40 schedule; travel may be minimal; visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with electronics/communications training or 4+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs acceptance testing per procedures, test plans, and work instructions.
• Tests across multiple levels including digital, analog, and RF; conducts box/system-level configurations.
• Reads engineering docs to perform routine testing, checkout, and basic troubleshooting.
• Conducts routine operational tests and fault isolation to verify product specs.
• Performs calibration and alignment of RF/digital circuits per Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Records test data and completes documentation for product release.
